Residential Developmental Handicap Facilities

This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in providing residential care services for persons diagnosed with developmental handicaps. These facilities may provide some health care, though the focus is protective supervision, room, board and counselling. This care can be provided in a group home or institutional setting. Some institutions may be referred to as 'hospitals' for the developmentally handicapped.
