Restaurant L'Islet

Opposite the restaurant, the small island that you can see from the glassed terrace is the Islet Saint-Jean. It inspired me to give a name to my restaurant. This island has a very particular history. At the beginning of the colonisation of L'Anse-Saint-Jean, the communication was done only via seaway. Families waited for the priest to come and baptise the newly-born. Sometimes, because of the strong winds, the boats could not dock. It had to stay near the island. People would then go to the boat with smaller boats to get the stock. People even celebrated baptisms on the boats. Now, this island is protected for its fauna and flora.

Facing the majestic landscape of the Saguenay fjord and of the Islet Saint-Jean, which you can see from our glassed terrace, I propose a simple and delicious menu that will please you.
