| Sometime around 1820, people started coming to these lands circling the Lac-Beauport, then called the Waterloo Settlement, to clear up the place and colonize it. The first parish, St-Dunstan-du-Lac-Beauport, was created in 1853. In the 1900's, about 40 families were already installed on the lands. |

| Around 1935, with the advent of winter sports and tourist and recreational activities, the Lac-Beauport valley becomes a fashionable vacation resort. Its reputation has crossed the borders when, in the 1970's, residential housing took its expansion. |
