Saint-Gilles de Lotbinière
Intersected by Rivière Beaurivage and its inlet, Bras d'Henri, the Saint-Gilles area was first colonized by German, English and Irish settlers in the early 19th century. In April, the canoe race down Rivière Beaurivage between Saint-Patrice-de-Beaurivage and Saint-Gilles attracts large crowds of spectators, making it one of the most popular local events.
